On the day of departure, you must vacate the premises before 11 a.m. Earlier departures are always possible. Please let us know the day before.

Conclusion of the contract

The booking becomes effective once you have sent us your deposit (30% of the total rental amount). The balance of the total rental price must be paid no later than 30 days before your arrival.

For stays booked less than 30 days before the arrival date, the total amount of the stay is due at the time of booking.

Visitor’s tax A visitor’s tax is added to the price of the stay and is collected by the accommodation provider on behalf of the Communauté de Communes Aygues Ouvèze. As our gîtes are classified, the applicable tourist tax is €0.90 per night and per adult.

Cancellation of stay

  • All cancellations must be notified by registered letter to L’Etang Des Cigales.
  • Cancellation more than 45 days before the date of arrival: The deposit paid is reduced by 10% administration costs and is refunded.
  • Cancellation less than 45 days before the arrival date: 100% of the price of the stay is due. Unless the owner re-let the gite for these dates, in which case the amount paid will be refunded.
  • In the event of a shortened stay, the price corresponding to the cost of the accommodation remains payable in full to the owner.
  • In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic: – insofar as the stay cannot be made because of government bans (confinement, travel restrictions, compulsory fourteen days on return), the cancellation will result in the stay being postponed to the dates you choose and which will be available. The sums paid will be used to finance the new stay. – No refund or postponement is possible in the event of a positive diagnosis of COVID-19 or if you are a contact case.


Cleaning is not included in the price of your stay. However, we ask you to leave the lodge in a clean and tidy condition. All you have to do is put away the crockery, empty the rubbish bins using the bins provided and clean the plancha. When you leave, all the equipment and furniture must be replaced in its original place.


This contract is for a specific number of people. If the number of people exceeds the capacity indicated in the contract, the owner is entitled to refuse additional guests or to apply a surcharge.


Pets may be accepted under certain conditions. When booking, please let us know how many pets you will be bringing with you. If this clause is not respected, we may refuse your stay and no refund will be made.

During your stay, your pets must not be left alone in the garden and must respect the peace and quiet of the premises. A lodge occupied by a dog will take longer to clean up. If you come accompanied by your 4-legged friend, a supplement of €7 per night will be applied.

Security deposit

On arrival, the tenant pays a deposit of €1000.

This deposit is intended to cover any damage to furniture and objects. It will be returned on the tenant’s departure after the premises have been checked.

Holiday insurance

You are responsible for all damage caused by you. You are therefore required to take out holiday insurance to cover these various risks.

General information

  • Children are the responsibility of their parents.
  • Swimming is not supervised and remains the full responsibility of the parents.
  • The outdoor pool house and swimming pool are convivial and shared areas.
  • The lodges are non-smoking, but ashtrays are available in the garden.
  • The garden must remain a peaceful place where you can relax.
  • We ask everyone to respect the peace and quiet of others.
